Before the Morning Finds Us by Elise Nyholm — book cover

The Story

On a January night, Kai Worthington offers a stranger a room in his Berkeley house. Linnea Thorsen knows how to read a man, what kindness can cost, and how to leave before the terms change. Across months of shared rooms, absences and tentative returns, they begin to fall in love. Linnea starts wanting things she cannot repay. Kai begins making decisions that were never his to make. When his care crosses a line, she knows how to leave. What frightens her is how much she wants to stay.
